  • Hi, I’m Azizeh.

I’m a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist based in Irvine, with virtual therapy sessions throughout the state of California. I specialize in trauma treatment, including EMDR therapy, for individuals who have experienced critical incidents, violence, abuse, or complex developmental trauma.

Many of the people I work with are strong, capable individuals who developed survival strategies that once protected them - but may now feel limiting, exhausting, or isolating. In therapy, we create space to slow down, understand those patterns, and gently explore how the past may still be shaping the present.

My approach is warm, steady, collaborative, and grounded in emotional safety. Trauma work should never feel rushed. Healing unfolds best within a relationship built on trust.

  • The majority of my clinical training was with active-duty service members, veterans, and individuals living with PTSD and complex childhood trauma. I have extensive experience working with military populations and understand the layered realities of operational stress, identity, responsibility, and cumulative exposure to critical incidents.

I also specialize in helping first responders process critical incidents, cumulative trauma, PTSD symptoms, and job-related stress. This includes those navigating line-of-duty trauma, burnout, or the lasting impact of witnessing violence or death. I have specialized training in EMDR for processing recent and past traumatic events.

My work is grounded in respect for the culture, resilience, and strength within these communities. Therapy is not about weakening what makes you effective - it is about helping your nervous system recover so you can continue functioning without carrying everything alone.

  • I am a Certified Domestic Violence Counselor and have walked alongside survivors of domestic violence, assault, home invasion, robbery, and other forms of trauma. This includes supporting clients through safety planning, court procedures, and the complex emotional layers that follow abuse or coercive relationships.

I have experience working in psychiatric hospital settings with individuals facing severe personality disorders and other debilitating diagnoses, as well as providing court-ordered therapy for anger management. These environments strengthened my ability to remain grounded and calm in high-intensity situations.

My work with survivors of narcissistic abuse and toxic relationship dynamics focuses on rebuilding safety, restoring trust in oneself, and forming healthy, stable relationships moving forward.

  • As the daughter of immigrant parents, I understand how cultural identity shapes belonging, responsibility, and the stories we carry about ourselves.

I am especially passionate about working with immigrants and their family members, including individuals from underserved and refugee populations. Cultural layers often go unspoken in therapy, yet they deeply influence how trauma is experienced and processed.

  • I integrate evidence-based trauma treatment, including EMDR therapy and nervous system regulation strategies, with relational and culturally-informed care.

    Whether you are:

    • A first responder processing cumulative exposure,

    • A survivor recovering from violence,

    • Or someone carrying long-standing developmental trauma,

our work will move at a pace that prioritizes stability and readiness.

Healing is not about erasing what happened. It is about helping your mind and body recognize that the danger has passed - so you can move forward with greater clarity, strength, and self-trust.
